Do i need to make an appointment?

We work on a walk-in and an appointment based system. So if you’re feeling sponatneous, just come on in!

However, if you have a big project (non-ear) in mind OR wish to get a genital or Dermal piercing, we advise calling the store before you plan on coming in, to ensure we’ll be ready for you.

Can i bring my own jewellery?

We cannot pierce with jewelry purchased elsewhere. If you wish to re-use jewellery from an existing piercing we have done, we can sterilize the piece at a small fee. We only pierce with premium grade jewellery to ensure a safe healing journey.

CAN i bring a friend or family?

While we want you to feel as comfortable as possible, our piercers only allow the pierce / recipient in our rooms. Thank you for understanding.

Do I need id?

Yes! We cannot pierce you if you are under the age of 16. Please do not be offended if you are asked for ID. You will need to provide a serial number for your piercing form. The ID must have photo proof i.e Drivers license or passport.

can i bring written consent if i’m under the age of 16?

We cannot accept written consent. You will need a parent or guardian to come in store and sign on your behalf.

HOW much will it cost to change my jewellry?

For a simple jewellery change, there is a $5 gloving fee. We cannot charge you before you enter the piercing room as this price is subject to change. The more complex the procedure becomes, the more equipment used and the time spent will determine the price. Your piercer will keep you updated throughout the procedure.

IS there parking?

We do not have parking spaces reserved for our customers however there are plenty of parking options nearby. There is a Wilsons carpark under our store (enter from Remuera Road) and off street parking. We are conveniently located right next to the train station too.

CAn we video/take photos in the room?

We ask that there is no photo or video recording in the rooms. This becomes a distraction to your piercer. If you are being pierced or are a support person, we ask you put your phone away.

DOes the piercing cost include jewellery?

Our piercing costs cover ONLY the procedure. The jewellery is added on top of this cost because we have such a large variety. Being a specialist studio, we fit jewellery ranging from $20- $500+ so there is something for everyone.

WHat do i do if my piercing becomes infected?

Often signs of the healing process can be mistaken for infection. If you are worried about your piercing the best thing you can do is come in store straight away for a consultation. We’ll be able to reassure you or give you a solution if your piercing has become upset. We cannot diagnose you over the phone though.

How long will my piercing procedure take?

We cannot give you an exact answer to this question. The piercing itself is very fast but you will not be in and out of the room that quickly. Allow time for picking your jewellery, filling out your form, a wait time (often 5-10 if we are not busy), marking (this can be time consuming as we want to get the marking perfect), the piercing, cooling, cleaning (possibility of bleeding) and finally aftercare information. This can often take 15-20.

Are you open on public holidays?

We will often close for public holidays. Check out our Instagram or Facebook as we post updates regarding upcoming holidays.

How do i remove my jewellery?

There are two different mechanisms to the jewellery we fit. Most pieces are threaded meaning the ball, gem or decorative piece screws on and off. The other mechanism is threadless meaning the removable piece is on a pin which slots into the base or bar. To remove these simply pull the top off. If you need assistance with this, pop in to see one of our piercers.
